Consulting Support Associate

Parity Corporation has an immediate opening for a part-time Consulting Support Associate. This position will support our team of ERP consultants in a variety of technical and organizational tasks. This position requires a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal communications skills and a strong desire to advance into a consulting career or has interest in ERP software. This individual will be an integral contributor to our ERP implementation and consulting team and have the opportunity to learn, experience , and participate in a wide variety of consulting and software implementation projects. Candidates must have a positive, proactive attitude and enjoy learning and problem solving in a fast paced environment.

Hours will be semi-flexible and the job will require between 10-15 hours per week with an opportunity for more. Students are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of or interest in ERP systems required
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Technically skilled including a basic understanding of relational databases
  • SQL experience or familiarity a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite a must. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Knowledge or experience with Microsoft Project a plus but not required
  • Must love learning and problem solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – must be friendly and able to work well as a team
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision and in a high-stress environment
  • High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with normal activities
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities
  • Good judgment – (for example, deciding when to involve other team members; recognizing high-risk situations and responding accordingly)

Tasks may include but are not limited to: Data formatting, integration services, preparing budget reviews and prioritizing project tasks, project plan updating in Microsoft Project, implementation or consulting project requirements gathering, system documentation, software testing, assisting in the creation of process flow diagrams, presentation support (including preparing reports, Power Point presentations, coordinating schedules, etc.), department and client report preparation, etc. Again, this job will be extremely varied.

Software Implementation Consultant

Our consulting team is directly involved in customer site installations, software configuration, project planning, project management, business process improvement and on-site training. As a consultant, you will work closely with clients to ensure that their goals are met or exceeded with each project and/or implementation. You will gain experience with all aspects of Parity's ERP and Supply Chain software, which include Accounting, Purchasing, Sales, Inventory, and Warehouse Management. This position allows you to use your creativity to participate in software development as well as assist in configuring and testing new systems. Most importantly, your work will have a direct impact on the success of both our customers and Parity Corporation.

Some travel will be required, with most travel as part of a team.

Qualifications:

  • 4 year degree in Operations, Supply Chain, MIS or related field
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

    • Production Planning / Scheduling
    • MRP
    • Lean Manufacturing Techniques
